HAMMOCK AND MACAROONS: 16-PERSON SWIMMING POOL AND NORDIC BATH

This former wine estate is located on the outskirts of the village of Échallat, in the heart of the rural Charente vineyards, between Cognac and Angoulême. On-site, the house and its spacious grounds offer every comfort: a swimming pool, a wood-heated Nordic bath, a ping-pong table, and a barbecue. Soak up some culture: head to must-see sites like the Gallo-Roman Theatre of Les Bouchauds and Bassac Abbey, as well as Cognac houses such as Hennessy, Courvoisier, Rémy Martin, and Martel, as well as hundreds of small producers who can teach you all about Cognac; Jarnac: the birthplace of François Mitterrand; and the architectural heritage of Angoulême, the international city of comic books. Take a trip down the Charente River by canoe or gabarre. For bike rides, you can take the “Flow-Vélo” bike path that runs along the Charente.
