We enjoyed our stay. However, the shower in the first room we were put in was not working. They moved us to another room, which was good. I just hated having to move all our stuff to the other room. I'm one who will unpack everything, so it was a pain.

Proximity to downtown is awesome. The views are gorgeous of the surrounding area and mountains. On the other hand, the rooms are dated and are need of a renovation for the price we paid and the shower head did not work to full capacity. Shower head was old.

Beautiful setting right on the river. Also conveniently located near downtown shopping and dining. Very walkable. Furnishings are a little old, but of good quality and appropriate to the age and style of the facility. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were nice, but the exercise room was a bit inadequate given the size of the hotel. The dining room and beer garden had very good food and service. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Finally, I must compliment the exquisite water pressure in the shower. It may be an odd thing to comment on, but showering was a truly exceptional experience. We stayed at two other hotels on our trip and there was no comparison.

Property is ideal to downtown Durango and you can easily walk to and from downtown and the train station. The river view room was fantastic!! The property needs some serious TLC in a few places that have just aged out. The restaurant, the rooms doors and carpets, and this is a HILTON and there is NO airport transportation available for guests. Thats a huge bummer.
