The Garden Home is only 4miles north of downtown Durango and has a park like setting on an acre of land. This home is a wonderful relaxing getaway with the exterior features such as a large deck, HOT TUB, BBQ grill, and fire pit, all for personal use. The main bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor and a spiral staircase leads to 2 additional bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. It's the perfect home for any season, as you can enjoy the flowerbeds in the summer or snuggle up by the fireplace in the winter. Home has central AC for those hot summer months and a wood burning stove stocked with wood for you during the winter months. Bonus is that it's only 20min to Purgatory! The host occasionally stays next door.

Excellent location, cute house and property. Very clean. Easy check-in and check-out. The only negative was the strong smell of air fresheners/Glade plug-ins. We all commented that it irritated our eyes. Our clothes even picked up that smell.

The home was clean and spacious for our family of 4, exactly as described. The backyard is beautiful for an early morning coffee or late evening relaxation. The hot tub, just steps from the main bedroom is a perfect way to end each day. The home is conveniently located to downtown and the train, nothing in town is much more than 10 minutes away. There are many great hiking trailheads within 15 minutes for varying levels of challenges.Overall, the home was fantastic. We did have a couple of minor issues, but when I reached out to Marley, she responded quickly and helped us out by going above & beyond! The hosts were very accommodating to our needs and were flexible when we left on our last day. Highly recommended; we'll be back next time we stay in Durango!

Great spot, well-equipped for guests!

My sister and I had a lovely time staying here for several nights while visiting my adult son in Durango. The kitchen is particularly well-stocked with cookware, and we had a few people over for dinner one night and were able to make and serve a great meal. Not always possible with the kitchens in many VRBOs! It was lovely to have the hot tub as well, and don't miss the spectacular trail that goes up behind the house! What a great stay. I will try to book this home again next time I visit Durango!

It was comfortable and had everything we needed on site. My bed was comfortable (downstairs); however, a friend thought the beds upstairs were not. That may be all personal preferences. The stairs are a little tricky for older people and luggage.

Place was amazing all around! Great location between Durango and Purgatory, just in North side of Durango. Everything was convenient drive. Plane was nostalgic family vibes, you can envision the oldbasement shop Great hotttub!

Amazing house

This house was exactly what we were looking for our weekend wedding stay. Clean, convenient, quiet. Had only one minor issue with getting into the house and the host was responsive and rectified it immediately. Couldn't recommend the house and host more, and bookmarked for future stays.

Nice “home” environment

This house made my family feel right at home. Very comfortable surroundings with a hot tub we enjoyed! Close to all activities in and around Durango. Be advised the spiral staircase to second floor makes lugging suitcases a bit tricky.

Mini weekend getaway dads 85th birthday

Older property beautifully preserved. Made me feel like I was in a cottage. There is no central AC so it was pretty warm inside especially in areas where the sun shines in and with windows open. The good thing was that as soon as the sun starts going down the house starts to cool down and the bedrooms have window units and fans. Owner did mention there were record high temperatures when we stayed. You do have little bugs from the outside coming in thru the windows so you will see them coming in but they’re harmless lol. The grounds were very pretty and location is ideal! Owner was very responsive and friendly. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Cozy and Comfortable

This home was perfect for our family adventure to Durango. It was comfortable, cozy and family friendly. Great back patio with hot tub and beautiful backyard. Large living space with fire place. We arrived just a tad early and met the owner Lori. Wonderful and friendly lady. The property was close to downtown Durango. We really enjoyed our stay here. Book it! You won't be disappointed!
