Family vacay in Dunsmir

We had a wonderful time in Dunsmir. The house was perfect for our little family. It was well stocked with basic necessities. The house was overall clean a few environmental insects but nothing that should deter someone from visiting this cozy home. The communication with the home owner was great and timely.

Lovely little stay

Communication with host was fantastic! House was cute and well furnished with comfortable beds and furniture. I would’ve given 5 stars except the train horn blaring throughout the night made sleep tough for the adults (kids didn’t notice) and the lack of a dishwasher was a little inconvenient. Overall a great stay!

This home looked newly remodeled on the inside. Beautifully remodeled with plenty of room to spread out. A block from the town. A couple of blocks from the Sacramento River. Close to beautiful waterfalls! My family had a great time!

Comfortable but a little rough around the edges

Retta was very responsive and accommodating! The house itself was mostly comfortable and they had a ton of toys for our 3 year old which was so great. Central air was great for the 90+ degree days. It was also an easy walk into Dunsmuir which was nice! You can tell it is a very old house that got a new paint job and the floors replaced but nothing else was updated.. The pictures make it look a little more fresh and updated than it actually is.

Mother's Day Weekend

Cozy cottage was a perfect fit for my family. We were visiting the area while my husband climbed Mt. Shasta. We enjoyed the amenities the home had to offer and the price fit our budget. Retta was very accommodating and responsive to our needs/requests.

Peaceful, Quiet, Perfect

My crew and I were staying here for the week as we worked on a project at the High School. Couldn't be happier with the house and the host. Retta communicated and went above an beyond to make sure we were taken care of. After working long hours, its was nice to come back to a place where we could relax, enjoy some peace and quiet as we recovered from the days work. We are coming back in June and hopefully this beautiful chateau is available then as well cause I would re-book in a heart beat!!!

Great location, Great communication, Great house

We stayed here with our family and found the house to be just as the listing says. It had plenty of space for 6 of us, we cooked meals, had plenty of space to relax and a nice big table to eat and play games. We also walked to the downtown area, multiple times, which had some great stores and restaurants, but also had many empty spaces too, but we still enjoyed all the exploring. There are so many waterfalls in the area, some right in Dunsmuir, there is really so much to do in the area, we couldn't fit it all in during our 4 night/5 day stay. We hope to be back and would book this place again. The host was great with communication and answering questions about the area.

Great place to stay if visiting Mount Shasta

The property was newly renovated. It is short 10 minute drive from Mount Shasta. I would definitely recommend this property. The host communicated well regarding any questions I had. Only suggestion to the host would be to add a dishwasher if possible.

A weekend get away

The house was newly remodeled, very clean. The owner was very attetive and responded to all my questions asked quickly. The only down side there was no dishwasher, washing machine nor dryer. We had a great time at Dunsmuir.
