Most private, quiet place we have stayed. Perfect for an anniversary getaway. This place is attached to a main residence, but Owners were not on site. If Owners are on site, privacy WILL be an issue. Place is tucked away from street and surrounded by trees, close to the edge of the mountain, so it might have an awesome view in winter. Just the privacy of surrounding trees in summer, except the deer that wandered through. The remoteness of this place allowed us to see more stars than many campsites, laying on the floor looking up out of the immense glass door. Our only complaint is unit got a little stuffy at times, and HVAC is controlled from Owner's home, no separate control in unit. Owner was very responsive with any issues, especially the initial oddity with the door lock, which was easily resolved. If you visit, don't miss Window Rock, just a few steps off the road directly across the street. We enjoyed the nearby moonshine distillery, going down the mountain to Dunlap, and going the other direction into Chattanooga. Easy access to all. We hiked a different nearby trail each morning, each 10-20 minutes away.
Stayed 5 nights in Jul 2026
