Magical Riverside Yurt, hot tub & the BRPW, pet friendly near Floyd, Va

A Yurt with all the comfort of home, right beside a noisy trout stocked creek. Sit in the hot tub enjoying the views of the river and the passing wildlife, or stargazing at night, and the steep mountain across the creek providing added privacy. Sleep under the stars, looking through the dome. This yurt has a beautiful soaking tub inside, with endless hot water, a back up well, and two minisplits for heat and air. also a wood pellet stove for additional heat and ambience. a biker friendly driveway, and a twenty minute drive to Floyd, Virginia. We have two coffee makers, an air fryer, stove top, microwave, and full size refridge. The memory foam mattress will make you want stay in the bed. The yurt is 2.5 miles from a local meadery, 3 miles from Konowha Valley, nearby hiking, wineries, breweries, and a speakeasy. Many quaint mountain towns to explore and shop in as well. This water is great for white water kayaking at high levels, floating at normal levels and walking thru the middle with a spinning reel to catch the nights dinner. There is a nearby canoe/ kayak rental and shuttle that’s inexpensive and a beautiful scenic float. We offer a side by side rental for our guests as well, for an additional fee if they are interested in traveling all the dirt roads nearby and seeing what our area has to offer up close.

The yurt is absolutely beautiful. The hot tub was lovely. It's positioned so that you can enjoy the creek and unlike many hot tubs I have experienced, there was no mildew smell at all I was very impressed. It's a perfect size for two people as well. The yurt is well stocked for anything you could need, soap, spices for cooking, cookware, doggie bowls, games, and more. Even in frigid temps the yurt stayed warm and cozy between the minisplits and the pellet stove. My dogs had a blast playing on the property with the host's dogs and having space to run around. The host was wonderful, super friendly and accommodating. She was also very quick to respond. She let us make adjustments for our safety during a visit that included winter weather and travel advisories so we were able to have the full experience we booked and make it home safely! Can't say enough good things about the entire experience if I could give six stars I would!

A wonderful getaway for my husband and I! The yurt was warm, cozy and stocked with everything you could possibly need. JoDee was a wonderful host who gave us our space, but was always available if and when needed. Do yourself a favor and just book it!! The surrounding hikes were beautiful, the towns were quaint and fun, and the peace was incredible. We will definitely be back again!!

Great stay! The yurt is clean and well equipped with lots of those little extras that make it special. Creek is really pretty and our dogs loved it! Host really goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable; very friendly and approachable. Hot tub is private and relaxing. Location is beautiful. Floyd is a nice nearby town to visit with quaint shops.Highly recommend.

Jodee's place is BEAUTIFUL! The hot tub, fire pits, and yurt itself were beautiful, and hearing the creek outside the Yurt in the evening was the best way to fall asleep. We stayed for one night, but have every intention of returning to this beautiful property!

Property was well landscaped and very clean inside as well. No complaints whatsoever. Would come back again. Hot tub and the stream was very nice. Only thing I would recommend is not coming into the property on the 2.5 mile long dirt road.

This was our first yurt experience and we loved it! The interior is very cozy and comfortable and filled with all sorts of interesting decor. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, especially the creek that runs behind the yurt. Jodee, our host, is a gem. She and her dogs were willing to spend some time chatting with us as we sat by the outdoor fire pit. This is a really cool place. We plan to return.

This trip was absolutely magical. Just off the beaten path, this yurt is next to a creek and the views from the hot tub are great day and night. We had some issues with the wifi, but there’s so much to do day and night we didn’t end up needing it. Definitely worth it to rent the ATV. Jodee was attentive, responsive and created an atmosphere to remember.

Short Anniversary Trip

My partner booked for a 2 night stay for our first anniversary together and were pleasantly surprised with how quaint and comfortable the yurt was. It was very well stocked with kitchen supplies and little unnecessary nick-naks that showed the owner's attention to detail that makes the whole experience feel more intimate and comfortable for guests.There is always hot water and very spacious bath tub. It gets really cold at the top of the yurt when the sun sets and really hot when it comes back up but you can set AC units to compensate. There was a stink bug problem when I was there (mid October) but they're harmless and easy to catch. They like the warm spots so check windows and loft. All in all, it was a great little trip. Try going down to the creek to get stones for painting with the chalk markers provided and watch the stars come out from the hot tub.

We rented this place for our 23rd wedding anniversary. We never had a honeymoon and this experience was exactly what we wanted! It was beautiful, clean, quiet, and peaceful. Great location! It was only a 30 minute drive to downtown Floyd and a 5-10 minute drive to Hillsville. The host was very helpful, kind, and considerate! Easy checkin and checkout. Would recommend this place to everyone!
