Lovely staff, the room was very unique and fun. I spent my anniversary there and the staff were kind enough to leave us a little surprise before we checked in. It says on Expedia that there is free parking but there wasn’t any which was very misleading

Hot and Stuffy - check to make sure AC/fan works

The AC in our room did not work. We complained after the first night (our room was 25.5 degrees C) and called downstairs several times. They said they would fix it on their end and reset it. The next day we went by the front desk - they assured us it would be better. We kept bathroom door shut and all lights even off as much as possible. Another several calls and at 1am they finally offered to switch us to another room and give us a complimentary breakfast. This was useless since we were getting up early the next morning to catch a flight - and not sure if they could not override the timer why they didn’t offer this earlier when we called several times. The fan mode was not even working/blowing anything - just hot and stuffy with 3 people in the very small room. We were hoping we would have slept comfortably in the king beds for our last 2 nights of our trip - but it was impossible to sleep because of how hot it was and could not even open a window. Note: other family members were in another room on a different floor and they were not having this issue. So it leads me to believe that timer or no timer on the AC - ours was simply not working and we were continuously brushed off and no one would ever come to our room to see what were were talking about.

Great stay. Room was lovely, but too warm and the air con wouldn’t stay on and you are unable to open the windows. Other than that, we ate in the restaurant and it was super tasty. Superb location too.

Great stay at the NYX Portobello, only slight gripe is that on arrival we were allocated an accessible room, which was also a conjoined room, this was despite us booking a superior room. That said we asked about this following morning and we were offered a change which we accepted! Breakfast good choice and good value. Would recommend

This was a great hotel during our stay in Dublin. The hotel itself was funky, clean, and had great amenities. It’s not the most central, but the neighbourhood is very cute, and we don’t mind walking. It was about 30 mins walk from the College Green area, and we did that with 2 kids in tow. Buses are also super easy to come by in the area. The arcade games in the lounge and the free candy bags at check in were nice perks as well!

We arrived very late and they still didn’t have our room ready, we had to wait 35 minutes and they changed our room which was smaller than the one I reserved. I brought it up with the staff and she assured me it was the one I reserved which was a king bed but “the “UK beds” are smaller than the American king beds”. Later on, I saw the cleaners cleaning a different room and that looked exactly like the room I reserved. We were not able to get a hold of anyone when calling from our room no one answered. Overall very cute accommodation and good location but staff and booking was just not it.

We had a great stay at the NYX Hotel - Portobello. The neighbourhood is safe and convenient with lots of shops, restaurants and public transportation close by. The rooms were very clean, and the staff is lovely. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking to spend some time in Dublin!
