Positives: location, room was clean and comfortable Negatives: minor disappointment-hot breakfast of bacon and eggs was very lukewarm every time I had it

Centrally located

Comfortable hotel. Located short walk to Dublin centre. Breakfast included and tea, coffee making facilities in room My only issue was that I arrived after 2300hrs, no food available and the vending machine was not working.

Live like royalty at The Castle Hotel, Dublin

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: O'Connell Street, cinemas, shops, restaurants, bars, public transport (including tour buses).
I recently went on a six-week tour of the UK and Europe. Most of the trip was with a tour company, so all the hotels were chosen for us, but I also stayed in London, Edinburgh and Dublin, in hotels I booked for myself online. In all, I stayed in 19 different hotels, 18 of them with good and bad aspects (ie- good: fast wifi, convenience / bad: no elevator, no hot water!) and the 19th was great in every way. Just like Goldilocks, it wasn't until my last stop that I found the place that was "just right" and that place was The Castle Hotel in Dublin. What a charming place, with inviting warmth and decor, friendly staff available 24 hours (unlike at my Avignon hotel, where reception was closed when I returned from dinner at 9pm, so I couldn't obtain a wifi code), a comfortable room with en suite, an elevator (I thought all hotels would have one of these, but if you haven't had to drag your 20 kilogram suitcase up three flights of stairs in one of your stays, you are lucky), great breakfasts and a convenient location, just five minutes from Dublin's main drag, O'Connell Street and all other conveniences such as tour buses, restaurants, bars and cinemas. Best of all, considering all those benefits the price was very low- less than some places which had fewer pluses. I loved Dublin and when I talk about the highlights of that great city, The Dublin Hotel is one of them. Hopefully, I'll be returning one day and if so, I'll stay at The Castle Hotel!

Pros: Location and staff were mostly great
Cons: Being shifted to a very noisy room, room 105 should not be a room! The staff use the outside of it to chat, in and out of doors night and day and cont
The noise from downstairs bar and music meant sleeping wasn't an option till late. The extra charge for this room was unacceptable, very unhappy!

Pros: Close to main part of town, easy to walk to points of interest. Good breakfast.
Cons: Pillows old & flat, duvet coming out the end of cover was old, dirty & falling apart. The room was very small & bed was small & uncomfortable.
Location: Close to everything
Facilities: Old; Value: Could be better; Service: Basic; Cleanliness: Tidy; Ok accommodation but need to update rooms & replace pillows.
