El hotel en sí es precioso. La piscina es una de las mejores que hemos visto por Zanzibar y el hotel es grande y las instalaciones son amplias y muy cuidadas. Nuestra sorpresa fue cuando nada más llegar, hay un cartel dando la bienvenida en italiano (debajo en inglés, en pequeño, cuando todos los hoteles es todo en inglés). Desde el recepcionista, hasta quien limpia, quien atiende en los bares, restaurantes, en la tienda de souvenirs del hotel y quien vigila habla italiano. Tienen un acuerdo con una agencia italiana, que les lleva grupos cada cierto tiempo. El hotel solo tiene a estos grupos como huéspedes, ya que es casi imposible no ver a gente italiana de allí. La animación de la noche también es en italiano. Vamos, que una decepción total porque te hacen sentirte excluida.
