I would not suggest booking here. Our flight was delayed so I emailed the property to let them know it would be almost midnight when we arrived. We ended up further delayed and wouldn’t be in until the next morning. I again emailed with an update that it out be about 9:30 in the morning the next day before we got in, but we would want to check into our room then. I was still worried so at 1:21in the morning I called the hotel and spoke to a person. They said they’d received my email and it was no problem. They also told me that we’d still have to pay for the room that night. When we arrived the next morning at 10:30 we were told there was no king size room for us. At this point we’d been travelling for 24 hours and wanted to freshen up for a hockey game we were going to in an hour. I asked how this happened as we paid for the room the night before…it was our room. I asked for a manager and got an extremely unhelpful blond woman. I showed her proof on my phone that I’d called to update them…along with 2 emails (that are saved on Expedia). She said too bad, we don’t have a room. They put us in a double room until they got a room for us and this room had half a tub full of water when we got to it as it had a steady leak. Because we’d booked through Expedia they washed their hands of us. They should not sell rooms through Expedia if they are going to treat people this way. I would never suggest this hotel to anyone. Very disappointing as we usually love Mariott’s.

No hot water. We were not the only guests without hot water and the staff did not seem to care about it. I had stayed at this property a few years ago and it was in better condition. It has the feel that it needs renovated and the staff needs to be better trained. Besides the bar/restaurant employees, it seemed like no one had been fully trained and lacked hospitality skills. Several seemed nice but in over their heads because not trained.

The good: location very convenient for sports venue (hockey). Friendly atmosphere. The bad: I was told I would be given a call/text for check-in. Text arrived 3 hours after actual occupancy allocated time. I was actually already in my room at 3:30. The ugly: ran out of hot water while having a shower in the morning. I’m not Scandinavian so not happy with the shock and awe experience.

My friend and I stayed overnight there. Everyone was extremely helpful and professional. It was very clean and so convenient to the PPG arena where we attended a sold out event. (Elevation Nights) Only one thing negative that I need to mention. The air in the room was not working correctly. It was set to the lowest temperature but never cooled the room. The units are definitely in need of cleaning and updating. It was a bit of a sauna in there all night. I would still recommend for others to stay there.

Hair dryer didn’t work. Went down to front desk told was going to bring another one in a few minutes. Waited 15 minutes no hair dryer. Called down told again was going to bring right up. After 35 minutes hair was air dried and still no hair dryer. Room was close to elevators and heard all night/day going up and down. Heard like a car coming through the room. You would think they would sound proof those rooms close if going to be that much noise. Woke up the next morning and had no hot water in shower. When we checked out not one person asked how are stay was.
