The Peninsula is a classic hotel with exceptional staff. I really enjoyed my stay and found it easy to access all areas of Bangkok via the free shuttle boat. Walking to IconSiam was just a 10 minute walk. The hotel also provided you options for any taxi or limousine services.

Our first trip to Thailand and Bangkok. Arrived late in the evening after day trip to Chiang Rai. Friendly and prompt checkin. Ordered room service and it was also promptly delivered (appreciated after long day). Excellent view of the river. Nice spacious room and bathroom. The next morning we enjoyed the buffet breakfast along the river. Excellent options and service. Then we had the hotel boat drop us at the pier on the other side of the river for our visits to the various temples (Wat Arun, Grand Palace and Wat Pho). After a full day of visiting temples, returned to The Peninsula before taking the hotel boat over to the ICONSIAM. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wish we had another day or two to enjoy the other amenities the hotel offers, such as the spa and pool. If we are able to return to Bangkok in the future, we would definitely stay at The Peninsula again. My only drawback was the bed was quite firm. And although it was a king size bed, I’m 6’2” and found my feet hanging over the end of the bed. Very minor inconvenience.
