Negatives: (1) we reserved & paid for a superior room with 2 double beds but reception said they didn’t have any available at check in and put us in a standard room with 1 double bed. Hotel Zima is a great place to stay in the center of San Isidro. Staff is very good and we will definitely consider staying here again if in the area.

The rooms are run down. The floor had a giant dent. Our room was on the second floor and we were afraid the flooring would break and we would fall to the first floor. I am an architect and I could tell there was something wrong with the structure supporting the whole floor. If you walked you could hear the metal structure creaking and you could feel it tremble. We felt very unsafe. We had trouble sleeping, since the neighbors were running around you could hear and feel the whole floor and bed move. The tv was in pretty bad shape, had lines and dead pixels. When you showered you only had one minite of hot water. After one minute the water turned ice cold so you had to shut down the water and start running it again for the hot water to return for another minute. Overall the experience was awful. Thank goodness we only had to stay for one night. When telling the front desk manager about it he said no one has ever complained but I doubt it. Paying a $126 for that room is a scam. DO NOT STAY HERE.
