'SERENDIPITY' Charming 2-bedroom cottage in lovely Domfront en Poiraie with WiFi

Surrounded by 'green' and nature. Looking for peace and quiet and a sense of isolation in a charming, modernised house? Then 'SERENDIPITÉ' is for you.
Situated on a rural lane officially known as 'LE MARAIS DE ROUELLÉ' it is the last house in the village and the first on an ancient countryside trail, dating back to the 11th century.
Standing alone on the lane with a large, semi-circular, ornate front garden a couple of strides away with a larger garden at the rear. Comfortable, cosy and welcoming.

All the rooms have been modernised but the house still retains it's 'bygone era' charm.

The lounge has 3 seater and 2 seater settees that form their own space around the fireplace and the television.
The original oak stairs are in the corner of the room and underneath them there are coat hooks and a shoe cupboard.
The dining area is on the other side of the lounge and has a large dining table with 4 matching, ornate chairs.
The kitchen is accessed from the lounge (through a door) and is fully equipped with everything you need if you have gastronomic tendencies.
There is a utility room through another door off the kitchen which has a toilet and hand basin, washing machine and drying facilities.
There are 2 good sized bedrooms upstairs (with double beds which are bright and airy. They both have wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside cupboards with pretty lamps.
The bedrooms share a 'Jack & Jill' shower room with toilet and washbasin.

*Please note* The timber-framed section of the house is an old stable/barn and is now used solely by ourselves for storing garden equipment and sit-on mower etc.

Idyllic spot in Normandy

We had a wonderful stay at Serendipity in southwest Normandy. The house was absolutely spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of character. The peaceful gardens were a delight to wake up to and made for a relaxing place to unwind after sightseeing. The location couldn’t have been better—within easy reach of Mont St Michel, the Normandy beaches, and historic Bayeux. Domfront, the nearest town, had everything we needed including a supermarket and a cafe right in the middle of town overlooking the medieval city walls. Don’t miss a visit to the nearby village of Lonlay-l’Abbaye—both picturesque and home to the delightful Biscuiterie de L’Abbaye, where we stocked up on treats.Mike and Lyn were exceptional hosts, greeting us warmly with local cider and fresh milk for that much-needed cup of tea after our drive from Paris. Their hospitality truly made the stay even more special.Highly recommended—we would return in a heartbeat!
