This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had.
Check-in was over 30 minutes late, and the front desk staff member who initially assisted me was rude and unwelcoming. I was first placed in a smoking room, which was unbearable. When I requested a change, I was moved to a room facing a wall, which was very disappointing upon just arriving in Qatar.
The only staff member who showed genuine care was girl named Lovely at the front desk. She truly tried to help and temporarily placed me in a twin room, promising a switch to a king room the next day—but that never happened.
The hotel is very old and poorly designed. There are very few power outlets, requiring me to crawl under furniture to charge my phone, and the light switches are inconveniently placed across the room.
During my stay, I became seriously ill with an ear infection and required urgent care to come to my room. There is no phone in the bedroom, only in the sitting area, forcing me to get up repeatedly while sick.
Service was extremely poor throughout:
• Requests for clean towels and water were ignored multiple times
• Housekeeping took towels and returned them six hours later
I travel often and have stayed in many countries, and this was by far the worst service I’ve experienced. It was not worth the money, and I switched hotels as soon as I could. I would never stay here again.
