Our holiday home "Luise am See" is a 50sqm new building (renovation in winter 2023 to 2024) for a maximum of 2 adults with a characteristic wooden facade in Flessenow, directly on Lake Schwerin. The house offers its guests a sunny south-west-facing terrace with barbecue fireplace, another wood-burning stove in the house, walk-in shower, full-surface underfloor heating, free WiFi, washing machine and high-quality furnishings with fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher. The secluded and barely visible property offers 700 square metres of space for exclusive use and impresses with its idyllic location. It is surrounded by hedges (no fences). It is located on a lakeside path with little traffic and is only separated from the lake by an approx. 50m wide strip of forest. A bathing area with a large sunbathing lawn is 100 metres away. Our holiday home "Luise am See" is ideal for couples at any time of year - peace and quiet is guaranteed. The well-developed cycle path network through the nature reserve towards the Hanseatic city of Wismar or along Lake Schwerin towards the royal seat of Schwerin offers space for active holidays. Location description: Flessenow is a district of the municipality of Dobin am See, about 20 kilometres from Schwerin. It is located at the northern end of the district road K101 (PCH1) on Lake Schwerin. The holiday home "Luise am See" is located at the northern end of Flessenow, only separated from the lake by a 100m wide strip of forest. There is no through traffic here, only cyclists and hikers can pass the paths behind Flessenow through the nature reserve in the direction of the Hanseatic town of Wismar. Flessenow is an ideal starting point for activities in the Schwerin Lake District. The extensive network of hiking and cycling trails around Lake Schwerin runs directly through Flessenow. There is a hotel, a campsite and a youth hostel in Flessenow. There is a large bathing area with a sunbathing lawn and several small hidden bays. There is a restaurant (in the hotel) as well as a snack bar and a kiosk (campsite). Canoes can be hired from the local youth hostel. The landscape around Flessenow is characterised by other large and small lakes, small villages, numerous forests and fields. Two rivers, the Warnow and the Mildenitz, flow through the Sternberger Seenland just a few kilometres away and offer an impressively unspoilt natural experience on canoe tours. Other sports and leisure activities: The state capital Schwerin with Schwerin Castle offers cultural highlights during the castle festival, but also knows how to inspire its guests with a mixture of historic old town, many events and its location on a total of 12 lakes. Almost as impressive as the Schwerin castle ensemble is the castle complex in Ludwigslust with the largest castle park in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The Baltic Sea can also be reached by car from Flessenow in just a few minutes. The Hanseatic city of Wismar with its beautiful old town and interesting harbour can be reached in half an hour. Would you rather spend an afternoon swimming in the sea than in the lake? The beaches on the island of Poel are just a 45-minute drive away, while the large seaside resorts of Rerik, Boltenhagen and Kühlungsborn are only a little further away.
