Great short break.
We had a lovely room and the staff were excellent, but a special mention must go to our receptionist Emma who really looked after us giving us advice about the hotel facilities and the local area. The hotel is probably the best, Best Western we have stayed at.

COMPLETELY UNDER-STAFFED
Like staying at the Marie Celeste. This hotel operates with a shoestring staff - the management are more happy to penny-pinch and let customers down than pay for just one or two more people a week. Evening Restaurant: ONE PERSON acting as maitre d', waiter, cleaner and manager - all in one! Most hotels have at least three people covering these roles, The BW Mickleover seems to think it's acceptable to have just one completely over-worked and stressed person to try to cover this, and they couldn't - my group were asked to order food at the bar - lesser menu but the same staff making it in the kitchen and serving the food. No gym staff - just one person on reception. It used to be just the rubber eggs that made me go elsewhere but now it's gone further downhill

Nice hotel overall. Just over £100 for a family of 4 with breakfast on a Saturday night. Spacious room with all the amenities required. Pool and spa facilities were included so a big plus there. Breakfast was good too.
