The highlight of a short tour of Delhi at the height of hot weather was the incredible comfort we experienced at The Met. The breakfast was so satisfying with dosa’s and Omlettes on demand to great tasting masala chia. They had so many dishes at breakfast that it was hard to decide what to eat. The chef assured me that the meat was halal and the two non-halal items were prepared completely separate. The showers were the best after sightseeing all day in the heat which many people don’t think about but will greatly appreciate. The staff of Shiv, Sunil and Marvinder proactively kept asking if we needed anything like water, towels, etc and got us whatever we asked for immediately. The property is a great balance between historical and modern. The managers checked that we were enjoying ourselves and Mr. Shrivastava even gave me his direct contact with permission to call anytime if I needed anything. The bell staff and front desk staff were very welcoming when we arrived and gracious upon departing. I highly recommend staying here.

Poor customer service at reception . I bought some clothes and told reception a package will be delivered and I might not be in at that time, reception said ok but when the package was being delivered, they declined. The boys st the reception desk gave poor excuse when questioned. Most of the staff are very good or excellent. Raj Kumar , cook, Himanshu and others. Temperature in Delhi was 44-45 and door persons had to wear heavy clothing, suits to stand outside in that heat to open door for guests. Human abuse. They can stand inside and come out to open the door. I will not be going to this hotel again. .

If I could give less stars I would…The hotel itself was fine physically. However, we feel like we have been taken advantage of since we arrived. We were WAY overcharged for the cab ride from the airport. We have confirmed this with several other places. Then we wanted to use our spa credit that came with our room for massages..not only were we not allowed to use our spa credits, but they overcharged us on the massages as well. The prices keep changing for everything. This is not a good feeling for the place you are staying. Lastly, during my friend’s massage he felt very violated and was touched inappropriately during the massage, he was offered “extra” services that were unwanted. Overall a terrible experience. Do not recommend.

1. The air conditioning in the room cannot be controlled. A single 'button' that goes through 1,2,3, off fan speed. 2. The electric outlets are Indian plugs only. No provision for visitors like me from the USA to plug in. U need your own Indian to US/International converter device. 3. Switching off or dimming the lights in the room is very difficult. It goes dark, or some bright lights remain. In my two days I could not figure out the lighting!!!

Wonderful Stay at The Metropolitan Hotel, Delhi

I recently spent a few nights at The Metropolitan Hotel in Delhi and had a truly wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing a great base for our stay. The main restaurant offered an extensive range of dishes each night, ensuring there was something for everyone. The quality of the food was consistently excellent. One of the highlights of our stay was our meal at the SAKURA restaurant. The dining experience there was absolutely exceptional — the flavors, presentation, and service were top-notch, making it a memorable part of our trip. Overall, I was very impressed with the hotel and would definitely stay here again during my next visit to Delhi. Highly recommended!

At this property, the staff treated you like you were royalty. They were so kind and so wonderful from the man cleaning my room to the front desk to the servers. The room was clean. The pool was nice. The food was excellent. The massage treatments were fantastic. All in all we think this is an excellent properly. We would highly recommend it if you’re coming to Delhi and want to be treated well and staying a nice place with fantastic amenities.

Great stay. Really enjoyed and helpful staffs specially Mr Aryan (front desk manager), treated us very nice, well behaved, offered us marsala tea with some home made cookies as well. Great stay and looking forward to visiting there again soon.
