FABULOUS hotel. Not only is it gorgeous, but the staff of all levels is kind and helpful. We had many great conversations and experiences with every single staff member we encountered. From helping us with early check-in when the hotel was full, to laundry, to breakfast, to the bars, to the spa, every single person and aspect of the hotel was amazing. We will absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Delhi.

Spacious and clean hotel. Great breakfast spread, enjoyed the local dishes such as masala chai and dossa. Service was good and check-in/out was seamless. Spacious room with good amenities. Noticed the large outdoor smoking area which is great for smokers. Will visit again if have a chance. Improvement areas could be ensuring wedding celebrations to end 10PM as it went on till midnight thus the loud music was held till then, OR sound proof further the rooms near the wedding area. Lastly, just for travelers, this hotel is located slightly of the center thus need buffer additional 20 to 30mins for traffic esp during weekdays after office hours. If you have own transport or on travels/have ready holiday tour pick-ups then should be fine

We did not enjoy the Delhi Leela Ambience Convention hotel.Due to Leela website faults and an incompetent reservations department, I ended up paying nearly double for a one night stay. I pointed this out to a Leela hotel manager, who promised to investigate the matter and report back. However he never got in touch, despite my attempts to contact him. When we returned to the hotel after a 4-day tour, I asked him why he had not been in touch. He ignored my question and arrogantly informed me that “Leela make thousands of bookings every day and when something goes wrong that’s just too bad”. Also the distance of the Leela hotel from the city, a room with a balcony door which did not close so the wind whistled all night and a one-hour wait with repeated requests for a table in the half-empty restaurant mean that I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor would I want to stay there again.

The service was very mediocre throughout the hotel, except at Dili 32 where we were well taken care of. From concierge to service at restaurants and bars, definitely lacking. We asked for ice water and got boiling water in our refillable bottle and got burned because we were expecting cold water. The hotel did nothing for any of the inconvenience except for a lousy, insincere apology.

I had a nightmare at the checking when we were met with upsetting treatments by the Manager Prateek. We were 3, me, my wife and a minor son. The first argument begun when Prateek insisted us to take a copy of passport of the child which is prohibited by international privacy laws. We Asked him that we can discuss this next morning as it was 3:00 at night and we were visibly sick. But Preateek didn't show any respect to Privacy GDPR laws and said he wouldn't check us in without saving copy of ID of a minor. However when I asked the mandate he failed to show anything in his support. This was a rude, and incompetent behavior for a manager. After checking he got again in to greed and egregious argument that I must pay Rs. 2500 tax per day extra for the minor. I argued that the booked room allows 3 persons as it shows "Sleeps 3". He insisted that it doesn't matter, we must pay for the third person. I argued that we already have 2 beds in the room and we will not need the 3rd bed. But he was extremely stubborn. I said I have already paid the room on Expedia and I can't pay the extra that he wants and if he wants we can cancel the reservation. He says then that I will not get any refund. I got upset. We were sick and it was 3:00 night but nothing moved him at all. We felt that we are being extorted of money. Stressed and terrified my wife chose to pay that. You may have a wonderful hotel but respect and hospitability was missing and we didn't feel welcome. Our stay is spoiled.
