It was nice but loud music blaring in their garden for an event on the second night was a real downer. The fact that the hotel allowed this and we had asked for a quiet room means will likely not stay there again.

Like a lot of similar massive hotels, a mixed experience. The room is well appointed and clean, the bedding good and bed comfortable. The service is good, but the way it is managed is not, Our bags took an hour and a quarter to reach our room when checking in, and when checking out bags held us up again; staff were sent to our room very promptly to check we had not consumed anything from the mini bar, but baggage collection took a long time. It would have been better if we'd just handled our own luggage, but this being a 5 star hotel (not to mention how enthusiastically the staff discourage you from carrying anything), this service is poor. The food was bland and in some instances outright bad, and very expensive.
