Unexpected for a Marriott property

Pictures are misleading the hotel is in disarray and dirty. I was fearful to sleep in the bed, needed to keep my sweatshirt hoodie on, cover the bed with disposable clothing, and get out as fast as we can.

The hotel is very close to the hiking trails. If you like a Dunkin coffee there is one attached to the building. There was a problem with customers smoking in the room next to ours, but it was resolved professionally by the staff.

The bed was comfortable. I was very disappointed with the bar/grill. I reserved this hotel room because of the bar/grill. When me and my girlfriend went to check out the bar/grill there was no menu. The bar tender gave us an attitude when we asked for a menu. We had to leave the hotel to go get dinner. When we came back, the bar tender was hosting her own Halloween party. Several people in there dressed up, music bumping. It’s almost as if the bar tender was hosting her own Halloween party for all of her friends to come to, yet me and my girlfriend who PAID to stay there couldn’t even get a burger and fries. I highly doubt all of her friends had reservations to stay the night. Also, she wouldn’t accept a card, only cash. Her drunken friends were running up and down the hallways all night. I guess it was an illegal, private Halloween party that she was hosting? Very disappointed. Me and my girlfriend will go back to the Delaware Water Gap area, but we will never ever stay at this Clarion ever again.

I was annoyed when we arrived. Our room was ready, but they asked an early check in fee. We did not pay and came back later. It would be understandable if the room was t ready but if the room was ready there should be no fee! Also the noise in the hall all night was disruptive. We also expected a restaurant but there was no working restaurant. The place needs an update
