Excellent hotel

Although some of the decor maybe a little dated, this hotel is is excellent, large rooms, free parking, pub lunch next door at excellent prices. The staff are really nice and helpful.

Very easy to park and the staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are comfortable but my only quibble is, despite No Smoking notices everywhere, there was a smell of stale smoke and the fire alarm was set off 4 times. Also i have stayed several times over the last 2 years and the lift is always out of order.

No hot water in shower so had to be moved to another room that wasn’t as clean so a bit disappointed. Beds were comfortable and parking was easy.

Firstly we would use the Hotel Again. It was adequate and priced reasonably. Sadly during most of the night there was heavy traffic, which meant it was difficult to get to sleep.

Great hotel in terms of cleanliness and price. Location is great as a base for motorcycling around Northumberland and Durham areas. Great food next door. No breakfast facilities.
