Nice hotel and room, but the mattress quality wasn’t great. Couldn’t get comfortable, didn’t sleep well & back hurt next day from the bad quality of the mattress.

The facility has deteriorated badly. Our sofa was missing the back cushions. Most of the tiles in the elevators were cracked or broken. Tye tv’s are outdated and picture was a cool shade of blue. We’ve stayed here many years as it is close to the ballpark and is usually packed full of guests for the games, this stay was very different.

We stayed 4 days, 3 nights. Our room was never cleaned. We were not notified until we arrived that the room we booked was not available so they gave us two rooms that didn’t accommodate our needs for our inconvenience. Well we had two children and couldn’t very well let them stay in a room alone. They didn’t offer a refund or any other alternative that worked for us so one room basically sat wasted for no reason while we were packed in another room forcing my kids to share a bed as a male and female which I do not really like to do. The room never had towels replenished. While the front staff were very friendly and nice, this was spring break weekend and it would have been nice to know that the room we booked was not available because we probably would have looked for other alternatives ahead of time. Not only that but it didn’t give us room to add ppl to our booking because we had an extra room for free but we were never called or emailed ahead of time. My email was loaded up with my booking information and it wasn’t until we arrived that we were told this wasn’t possible. I prepaid for the room and I’m still rather upset that the staff acted like they were giving us extra for our inconvenience when giving us one bed and a sofa bed instead of two beds and a sofa bed is not helpful at all and adding a room with one bed and one sofa bed does nothing to make the situation better when you have 4 year old and an 8 year old that can’t really stay in the same room alone.

Next to the hotel there are three ponds with trees, ducks, and benches. Nice place to walk to with your free coffee from the Hyatt. Very Zen.

Convenient but bad business

I checked in around noon, just because i knew i was going to be back late, my room wasn't ready but i understand since I know chicken is not until later but just wanted to make sure they had my room. The lady at the front desk told me she will text me when my room was ready And never did. When i got back to the hotel around 10:30 at night, they assigned me a single bed room and my reservation was for a 2 bed. When i went and let the lady up front know , she told me they over booked and they didn't have that type of room available for me all she could do was give me blankets. After me going back and forth with her, she said there was another reservation with a double bed and she went ahead and have it to me. It was a huge inconvenience and i know another customer was mad when they got to the hotel and had to experience the same thing i did.

It’s a very busy hotel for families. It’s very close to the amusement park and baseball field. Prepare yourself for fireworks at night, one night they started at 930 and then 11pm. We’re not sure if they were from 6 flags or the baseball park. Our room could use some updates (paint, furniture, fixtures). They definitely tried to keep up on the breakfast buffet items considering what a large crowd there was.

Poor service

Getting a room here was a horrible experience. Coming up from San Antonio, we called the hotel to explain that due to the wild weather (high winds) we wouldn't be arriving for the first night of our two nights that we had prepaid. Front desk explained that because it was booked through a third party that we'd need to contact Hotels.com directly and only they could adjust it. Understandable. So we did and the rep said it would be up to the hotel and put us on hold to contact the them who said no to the request. We called the hotel back to explain that we didn't want a refund, just to adjust our stay for the second night but Jada, the front desk supervisor, continuously refused to even speak with us, always telling the front desk staff to deal with us or send us a message. They even told us that they wouldn't have any rooms available the second night while Hotels.com could clearly see rooms available on their end. There was no getting around it and by the third call it was finally Hotels.com that offered us a solution on their end. It's so sad that all Jada had to do was show a little compassion and humanity but instead chose to make it a difficult situation that prompted this review. A supervisor should be the face of their establishment and be ready to assist their customers. Clearly this isn't a priority for Jada. I'm glad the room was nice and comfortable but the overall experience was awful. I expected better service from Hyatt.
