Booked room well in advance. Called hotel 3pm to advise we would be traveling in late. Mom alone with 4 kids. Couldn’t get into driveway to park. Checked in to find out room had been given away. Was given a room with king bed and pull out sofa. Was assured there was a rollaway available. Followed by very scary drunk man into elevator alone with kids. When got to room and kids settled got a call to find out no roll away was available due to earlier flooding. Was asked if we could move to a different room. After elevator and time of night no longer felt safe. Asked to receive compensation for inconvenience. $80 breakfast credit applied for 5. Ridiculous. $20 pancakes. Additional bedding not available in room so had to wait 20 mins for that to arrive at 2am. We had extended our check out since we got in so late. House keeping knocked on door at 10am. Waking whole room up. Tried to order food with credit and there was a 90 min wait. Decided to leave and check out. Was informed that they couldn’t apply my credit to parking all though I couldn’t sit for 2 hours for food. Called for car ahead of time and they couldn’t find my keys. Just an overall terrible experience. Didn’t even touch on cleanliness smell or rude employees

I stayed at The Fairmont Dallas for two weeks. Unfortunately, my experience was not good. I booked a regular room and also paid for an upgrade to the Gold Room on floors 17-19. The regular rooms looked old, which was disappointing. The Gold Room didn't offer much more than a standard room at any other hotel. The staff had trouble explaining the upgrade process, which was frustrating. The pool was dirty, which made my experience worse. There was no toilet paper twice in the Gold Lounge, and the staff had trouble finding more, which was unacceptable for a luxury service. The service was inconsistent; some staff members were nice and helpful, while others were just okay. Despite leaving tips, the service didn't get better. The hotel promised personalized service for Gold Room guests, including knowing your name and providing a personal concierge for check-in and check-out, but none of this happened. We ate at the Pyramid Restaurant twice and received different levels of service and food quality, even though we ordered the same dishes. This is concerning and suggests a lack of quality control. Despite the staff trying to look professional, it seemed like they were trying to hide the hotel's poor condition. The location is convenient, but that doesn't make up for the hotel's problems. Because of how long I stayed and the Gold Room upgrade, I expected better luxury & communication. The Fairmont Dallas didn't meet my expectations, and I can't recommend it based on my experience.

I was in town for a large convention. My room was not ready upon my arrival which lead to a 30-45 minute wait. I also requested a refrigerator prior to my arrival that I was told I would get and never did. The hotel itself is nice with nice accommodations, although a little outdated. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend.

I was in town for a large convention. My room was not ready upon arrival, and the wait was about 45 minutes. I requested a refrigerator prior to check in which I never received. The hotel overall is really nice with great accommodations, although a little outdated. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this property.
