Staff was friendly, room was average, pool no lights at night, charged for parking when we didn't park overnight or stayed longer than an hour at the most (stayed at the children's hospital all day and overnight) $94.17 to be exact and it was a 2 day booking!! Wild how they charge you so much for something you didn't utilized! Bad enough we were there for hospital business on a tight budget then get hit with parking fees! Called several times, waiting on a supervisor to return my call!

My husband and I booked this Marriott for a special Memorial Day weekend to celebrate his birthday, expecting a relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by multiple issues that fell far short of 4-star standards. On Sunday morning, a 6 AM fire alarm jolted us awake. We rushed downstairs only to learn it was triggered by someone burning bacon in the kitchen—a disruptive and disappointing start to our vacation. The lobby was in disarray, with a leak causing buckets of water to clutter the space, completely ruining the ambiance. To our surprise, renting a microwave cost an extra $15, which felt unreasonable for a hotel of this caliber. Worse, we spotted a possum roaming the property, adding to the sense of neglect. Checking out was a nightmare: the porte cochere was crumbling (with a car parked unsafely beneath), the front entrance was blocked, and the side entrance was locked from both sides. We struggled to find an accessible entrance just to return our keys. Overall, this hotel’s poor maintenance, unexpected fees, and operational failures made our stay deeply disappointing. It does not deserve its 4-star rating, and we will not return to this Marriott—or any Marriott—after this experience. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for a pleasant stay.

We had such great expectations for a $190 a night room. The A/C unit was not working. Reported it as soon as we have made it to the room and engineer personnel came to check and says it is the weather outside and need to close the curtains as the sun might be causing the heat in the room. The thermostat is defective, stayed the same temp around 70 and we have set the cooling temp to 60 and still it was not cool enough. We went to attend an event as scheduled on our itinerary and we came back to the room around 10PM and the room has not cooled down one bit. Reported it again to the frontdesk, and the staff was not able to fix the a/c at all. They told us due to the new water system , it might have caused the issue. No resolution was offered. They just told us to try reset the thermostat and see if it works. Totally a waste of money! The trolly was so small like mini carts. Even small hotel chains have way bigger luggage cart transporters but never did we expert that a Marriott hotel in such a big city would have such mini luggage carrier. We drove 10 hours for an important event and never did we expect such horrible experience. One of the most critical part of our travel was to be able to get some good night's rest before driving back home for another 10 hours. Never again with Dallas Marriott Suites.
