This historic property is in fact a museum and a 5-star luxury hotel located across the street from the must see Qorikancha. Our experience was outstanding. Hot tea in the lobby. A baby lima in the plaza by the restaurant. Outstanding service with people waiting to assist you everywhere you go. The restaurant provides excellent food, with lovely, soothing live music. The buffet breakfasts had all the high quality offerings one could hope for. The room was plush and luxurious (even if a bit small), with beds one sinks into, plush first rate robes, towels, bedding and pillows, hot showers. Don't miss the free tour of the hotel at 5p, done by a very accomplished young man who provided a lot of information one would not have gotten otherwise. It ended with a moving Inka ceremony of music and dance. After 10 days in a series of nice but simple hotels in Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu, it was nice to enjoy the comforts of the Palacio for 3 nights, while seeing the sights in Cusco.
