The beds were absolutely awful. Like attempting to sleep on plywood. The checkout is early as well. It’s 10am. We asked for a late checkout and they wouldn’t accommodate. The area is nice, close to shopping and markets etc.

Staff at the hotel was very easy to work with making arrangement for our stay so pleasant. The rooms are well appointed with modern bathrooms. Room water temperature was cold but after bringing it up to the staff they addressed right away. We will be coming back to Peru and will make sure we stay at this quaint hotel that was easy access to everything including high vistas above the city. Thank you to the staff that made the visit incredibly convenient and pleasurable.

The quiet and historic location in the San Blas Neighborhood is a big part of the appeal of this hotel. But without a doubt, it’s the staff- the people - that make this hotel special.

Neat location in San Blas. Plenty of restaurants and Shirley walk to plaza, albeit uphill/downhill. Beautiful view of city at night. Tour companies may require you to walk a few blocks for pick up because of narrow street.

We stayed there recently. When we were shown our room I asked to be moved because it was in gathering area and right off the lobby. I was told that I couldn’t be moved because we had a special priced room and guests that pay more get the better room. The hotel is very loud so if you need to get up early for tours be aware that you will hear everything. They close the doors to the lobby at 10 but still a lot of noise. I won’t stay there again just based on my interactions with the staff when I brought up the noise.

No hot water in the shower! No heat in the room! The temperature was 44 Fahrenheit or 6 Celsius at night and The central heat was not working! After I asked, they gave us electric heater which took hours to warm up the room. The bathroom had a window that we couldn’t close at night! Staff were nice but I believe when the hotel doesn’t have hot water and heat, they have to close for repairs. Why the reviews are high? Should I trust them? I trusted Expedia and paid ( the rate was pretty high in Cusco) but it was very disappointing.

Suffocating nights

I stayed for two nights at Mystico. The location was decent, and the staff was friendly. However, the hotel room had a very small window that overlooked a covered backyard, offering no airflow at all. I ended up moving to another hotel because I felt suffocated and developed a headache from the lack of fresh air. The reception mentioned that all rooms have the same conditions. Additionally, the room didn’t have central heating or air conditioning, but they did provide a portable heater.

Suffocating Stay at Mystico

We stayed for two days at Mystico. The location was convenient, and the staff was very friendly, but I wouldn’t stay there again. While the room was clean, it felt suffocating. All the windows were small and faced a closed, covered courtyard, leaving no airflow. There was no air circulation, air conditioning, or heater—just a portable one, which didn’t help much.
