Nestled within the heart of the historic Dunira Estate, just three miles from the charming village of Comrie, The Granary is a luxurious Highland escape designed for two. Surrounded by mountains, lush lowlands, and centuries of history, Dunira is a truly unique destination to experience the spirit of Scotland.

Originally part of the Estate's old working Square, once the vibrant hub of daily life at Dunira, this beautifully restored first-floor residence combines heritage character with modern comfort. This was historically a centre of craftsmanship and community, supporting the great house to the south. Today, The Granary honours that legacy with an elegant restoration and a serene atmosphere that invites you to slow down, reconnect, and create lasting memories together.

From the moment you arrive, calm settles in. Your private raised deck and enclosed garden open onto sweeping views of rolling hills, forests, and the gentle flow of the Boltachan Burn, the “west water” from which Dun-iar-a takes its name. All around, nature moves to its own rhythm: red squirrels dart along stone walls, red kites and raptors call overhead, deer graze in the meadows, and in the still of evening, owls call from wood to wood. After the rains, the rush of the burn becomes your soundtrack, a soft reminder of the living landscape that surrounds you.

Inside, The Granary is a sanctuary of warmth and style. When you're ready to explore, you don't have to go far. Dunira itself offers miles of scenic walks and trails, winding through ancient woods, along rivers and burns, and into the surrounding hills. Runners and fitness enthusiasts can follow paths east toward Comrie or west toward St Fillan's, climbing to Balnacoul Hill or into the Glen Tarken hills for panoramic views that take your breath away.

The nearby village of Comrie, set at the meeting of three rivers, welcomes visitors with artisan cafés, cosy restaurants, independent shops, and galleries that celebrate local craft and creativity.
