Quiet and peaceful

Quiet, clean and peaceful. Very large apartment. Plenty of space to move about and relax. Though we didn’t spend a lot of time there, we were in town for an event. It was practically perfect. I would definitely recommend this host and property. We are glad we chose this over a hotel, No loud neighbors, or kids running up and down hallways etc. we would definitely rebook again.

The property is advertised as an apartment over a funeral home, but it would be more accurate to say that it is an apartment in a funeral home. Partly this is because the space feels commercial with drop ceilings, sterile decor and the living room is also a wake room complete with coffin handling elevator and casket table, but the main thing is there is no barrier at all between the apartment and the funeral home (ie no locking door) so anyone in the funeral home can walk right into the apartment. We honestly were not worried about the owner or staff, but how can they vouch for everyone that enters their space for a funeral? Only other complaint was a lack of closet space. The one in the bedroom was full of stuff. They did provide a hat rack to hang things on. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen well stocked. The area is rural and quiet, but still within 15-20 minutes of most of the Lancaster sights.

Don't go there, regrets

When we got there, the people on staff didn't know we were coming. But within only a half hour supposedly everything was cleaned properly. Which you pay an extra hundred dollars for. Most importantly there are big safety issues as I see it. First, there is no lock on the apartment door, which was inside a funeral home with two older men roaming inside while we were upstairs on the second floor. Very creepy situation. Second, the stairs is between the bedroom and living room area with the bathroom being even farther down the hall opposite end of the apartment. The stairs is totally open for someone to accidentally fall down the wooden steps. So if you don't mind safety issues and sleeping next coffins, then this could possibly be the place for you. PROBABLY NOT!

Nice and quiet.

Beautiful place for a weekend away ! My husband and I booked this for a kid free, quiet weekend ! Owner is very nice ! Huge living room, stocked kitchen , large shower and queen bed ! Very nicely put together and clean ! Loved that it has a full kitchen with kcup coffee maker and the couches are super comfy ! I would recommend to bring more pillows . It’s above a funeral home and your entry is through there to get to the rental. Didn’t bother us at all ! Only complaint we had was my husband is allergic to cats and there was previously a cat that stayed there .

Could have used more info

The apartment was clean and very spacious. However the instructions did not indicate that you had to go through the funeral home to get into the apartment. We did not run into anyone when we entered and exited but it seems as if there was a possibility that we could have.
