Look beyond the Exterior

Coming up on the hotel, we were a bit skeptical... broken pavement, generally unkept. However, the front desk was always inviting and our room was comfortable and very clean! We were there for baseball and it fit our needs.

Looks old and tired. Typical carpet in room replaced with vinyl fooring. Inside generally pretty clean. I will be happy if we dont bring anything home from the room. Wink wink! And to be clear, so far no sign of any problem, just maybe always have that concern on my mind. Surprised it had such a high rating. But it will get us by on our travels for a night.

“You Get What You Pay For”

Overall, this was an average stay with your normal “you get what you pay for” situation. Wasn’t horrible, wasn’t great. Check in was easy and the location feels safe. Bathroom was questionable at best. There were pubic hairs left in the bathtub from the previous guest and there was a questionable residue on the wall between the toilet and the sink. The bed was as stiff as a board also. Outside of that, typical “you get what you pay for” hotel room.

The outside was very lackluster, the hallways were a little dim and the ice machine was not clean. Despite the things mentioned, it was a decent sleep for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean although the toilet seat was loose.

I realize this is a Budget hotel & you get what you pay for. Even thought the room was fairly clean & bed was comfortable, there was a very pungent smell of cigarette smoke all night long. There were No-Smoking signs everywhere, but it was coming in through the vents. Obviously they do not police that policy too well. I complained to the front desk in the morning & was told they would look into it. I double it, but we will not be returning to that hotel.
