The check-in process was smooth, with the home well-lit and the air conditioning set to a comfortable temperature upon arrival. The neighborhood felt safe, and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the stay. However, there were several issues that impacted the overall experience. Upon arrival, the property had not been properly cleaned—there was trash left behind by the previous guest, food in the refrigerator, and a wet mop stored in the bedroom closet. I also noticed dead bugs on the floor, and the towel rack in the bathroom was partially detached from the wall. More significantly, the hot water heater was not functioning properly, limiting showers to about four minutes before turning cold. After maintenance this improved. I had specifically booked this property for its advertised washer and dryer, as I needed to do laundry during my five-night stay. Unfortunately, the washer was not working correctly, and although the host sent someone out to address the issue, the laundry situation was not resolved during my stay. As a result, I was unable to wash my clothes. The host did acknowledge the cleaning issues, stating he had fired the cleaning crew, and offered a 15% refund on the nightly rate. While I appreciated the gesture and his responsiveness, the unresolved maintenance problems significantly affected my stay.Due to these circumstances, I cannot in good faith leave a five-star. If these issues are resolved this property has potential. Thanks
