The room was clean and the staff were polite, but the location was absolutely the best thing about the hotel. You are in the heart of everything. The only drawback for the hotel is that the hot water system is incredibly noisy and the room clean doesn’t include a refill of any tea, coffee or water, but you can always ask at Reception.

Perfectly located by the Cathedral. A short walk to Cologne central station, main Christmas markets, shopping/eating options and Ludwig museum. Hotel was also perfect…very clean, well maintained, staff were lovely, great facilities.

Overall the stay was good. Checking in was quick having completed the online registration. We were able to leave our bags in a safe room after checking out whilst we spent the rest of the day in Cologne prior to heading to the airport. We asked for a kettle which was delivered to our room whilst we out and we were able to get milk from the restaurant. The duvet cover had a black mark on it but it was changed the next day as requested. Bathroom could have been cleaner but nothing a spray down with the shower head didn’t sort out. The bathroom had a sliding door which didn’t want to stay shut and had a habit of opening. My finger got caught trying to stop it the first time it happened so watch out for that. Whilst it didn’t bother us, the glass bathroom/main room divide didn’t allow for much privacy whilst in the shower. The hotel was located within a 6 minute walk of the cathedral and ideally located for the main Christmas markets.

We chose this hotel because of its location and we had high expectations since it belongs to the Accor group. However, when we entered the room, the table hadn’t been dusted at all. Even though they claimed the linens were changed, they were covered in stains and hairs. We took photos and videos of everything. When we reported this, they said they would come and check immediately. The head of housekeeping arrived and literally scolded us, saying, “This room is clean, there’s nothing here. How am I supposed to know where these hairs come from?” We had two connecting rooms, and the other room’s bed was similarly dirty. Even when I said, “You can’t talk to us like this, we did nothing to deserve this attitude,” they told us, “If you want, just leave and find another hotel.” The hotel manager also refused to change our room, claiming there were no other rooms available, even though we could see plenty of availability in the system. They treated us terribly, and we absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

Conveniently located close to the train station, city Center and of course The Magnificent Cathedral. Staff were very attentive, our room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was out of our budget, but there’s lots of other options nearby. Highly recommend this place!

Ideal location for Christmas markets! Train station and taxi’s easily reached. Airport about 20 minutes drive away. Hotel was adequate for a two night stay, the room was small but comfortable and clean, with soft lightening, great shower, toiletries, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, tv, black out curtains, coffee machine, safe, small fridge, not a lot of clothing storage for a long stay. Bed was comfortable with a firm mattress. Can’t comment on breakfast/dinner in their restaurant as we ate out, with plenty of good recommendations ! Maybe ear plugs needed if cathedral bell chimes annoy you! Checkout was 12 noon (on Sunday) which was a pleasant surprise! Overall a nice hotel!

This hotel is not the fanciest but has a great location. Restaurants, museums and all the Christmas markets were all only a few minutes walk away. It was really nice to visit the spa after a long day sightseeing.

This hotel is in a good location that is walkable to transport and main attractions. The restaurant staff for breakfast was also very nice and accommodating. However, we got there early and the first front desk girl said the room wasn’t ready which is fine so we came back at check in time and the second front desk girl was not nice. She seemed angry and annoyed. In addition, we also found a hair in our shower floor which was easily noticeable so it made us even more uncomfortable.
