Room needs some TLC. It has some good features such as full kitchen, some dishes pots and pans, crown molding in some rooms, nice floor tiles in some areas, new kitchen counters and cabinets, but needs a good cleaning, furniture replacement or rehab (we covered the gross sofa with bedding and tried not to touch the fabric on the matching coffee table) some lights didn’t work, shower drain was clogged, single light bulb bathroom light (dark at night!) old lumpy over soft mattresses, one electrical outlet was missing its cover exposing bare wires, the hot water never got more than barely warm, and the room stunk of cleaning product I thought but wife said it smelled like old people lived there a long time. The shower pressure was strong, the courtyard looked nice during daytime, the front desk lady was friendly. The fridge was not clean. In this case you don’t get what you are not paying for. But its still not cheap.

Hotel is on a boiler system, was not very warm, did not have blankets and apparently it was supposed to have a space heater but did not at our time. No way of setting the temperature.

room conditions were a bit strange lets start by there were no dishes anywhere in the unit besides 1 small cup.. no dishwasher. completely gone, and last but not least no hot water. I have staed with this hotel about 100 or so times and this is the first this had happened.. Generally this Property is nice, very close to A&M campus.

Breakfast menu was continental other than the waffles, would have appreciated better protein options, staff very friendly and helpful, appreciated happy hour snacks, room design was ok and bed was comfortable, but coffeemaker didn’t work properly and room felt dirty, needed new carpet and new paint. The fitness room had a working treadmill and dumbbells only. The stationary bike didn’t work.

The property is up for sale which technically means refurbishment isn’t taking place any time soon. However, this is a beautiful gem inside College Station unlike any other short stays in the city. A cozy place where you’ll find the comfort of staying with basics being right. Just overlook the carpet area and you’ll love this place. The Social Hour is a plus. I would recommend this place and I hope they find an investor who would simply change the carpet and let it be the way it is. Kudos to Veronica, Lisa and Robin for maintaining such warm hospitality.
