The room was clean but worn. The bathroom had been renovated fairly recently. I found out from the person that checked me in that they were going to close this property at the end of the month, which explains why they haven't done anything to renovate it. They do not serve breakfast or coffee (in room or in breakfast room) anymore nor do they have the pool available "due to Covid) I wouldn't touch that pool with a 10ft pole anyway.
I chose to stay there because I was going to my 50th class reunion at Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn. I wanted to be close to the activities, etc. and, side-bar, when my family first moved to Glen Ellyn, in 1966, we stayed at this facility for two weeks. I was curious to see it again. It is definitely time to take it down and build a new facility in Glen Ellyn. Glen Ellyn is an affluent community and it is hard to believe that this is all Glen Ellyn has to offer. The woman who was cleaning the rooms was very pleasant and tidied up my room and brought fresh towels.
