Fantastic property in a perfect location in Coimbra! We were greeted at the door and helped in unloading our luggage. We were quickly checked in and directed to our room. They let us leave the car at the front of the building while we took our luggage to the room.
Parking was included. The garage was located very close, practically across the street from the hotel. It was modern and safe.
The room was a typically small room in Europe, but it was very comfortable. The bed was great. The AC worked fine and the bathroom was very clean and modern.
The view from the rooftop terrace was breath taking, especially at sunset, with a perfect view of Coimbra. The restaurant was well stocked...and the included breakfast was one of the best I've had anywhere!
With all that, the best part is the location. The hotel is just a block off the river and right next to the center of Coimbra's downtown. There are numerous restaurants as well as shopping and festive street performers within a short walking distance.
One warning about Coimbra not related to this hotel is that it is a very difficult town for driving. Very narrow and winding streets up a steep hill up to the university.
