Great very unique hotel. Food is very good. It was very difficult to find. If you book through the hotel directly they send you very detailed directions. Through hotels Com we received nothing.

Very interesting property. 3 old buildings joined together. Wonderful staff and nicely decorated and comfortable hotel. Maybe a bit quirky but in a fun way. Wonderful location to explore the university.

Spacious and bright room. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Loved the "wine hour" on the rooftop terrace. The staff were super helpful and very friendly.

Beautiful hotel right by the university. We lucked out and found a parking spot. Directions on parking were not easy to follow but the instructions on the back of the parking permit were great (photo below). Staff were excellent, dinner was delicious and breakfast was very good. There was happy hour at six which was lovely. The only negative was that the drapes did not close properly and light came in making it too bright at night. We also could hear the people above very clearly!

The hotel is on a quiet street in a central location. Staff was friendly, service was good overall. Breakfast was OK, one would expect a better food variety in a 4-star hotel. Our standard room had windows almost below the street level, so we could not keep the windows open. Everything else was fine.

Perfect if you are visiting the University

The staff are very kind and generous. Parking is very challenging on a narrow street with many hills. It is a simple walk to the famous library and university tourist areas. And the views are lovely. It is challenging to visit other parts of the city from this location. Breakfast was nice, dinner was delicious although the service was slow. There is limited storage for clothes either by hanging or drawers.

This location is convenient to visiting the University. It is however a long downhill walk with stairs and sloping streets to the main downtown area and other restaurants and obviously the same in reverse uphill to the hotel. If walking (if you’re in shape, it’s not that bad), do not fully trust Google Maps. The shortest route is the steepest with the most stairs. The onsite restaurant is excellent for dinner and the breakfast buffet has a good selection and makings for snack sandwiches. Our room came with breakfast and a glass of wine at 18:00. The hotel location, being further from downtown is quiet, except if the university students are having an event or out drinking, in which case, the rear units facing the road behind the hotel, get noisy at night. The upper floor rear units have great views.

We had a fantastic stay in the Sapentia. We were there for a week and got to know the local area well and built a nice relationship with the staff too. The Hotel is situated in great spot, some of the rooms have great views towards the river. The only issue is parking. The location is on a tiny street adjacent to the University. If you can, don’t have a car. If you do, prepare to have to move to about a bit potentially. The hotel helped us a lot and we managed ok, the car remained, miraculously, unscathed even though it got backed into,(no visible damage, caught on the car camera). This is the only issue during an otherwise wonderful stay at the Hotel.

A lovely property matched by warm, friendly and attentive staff who were always happy to help. The room was very comfortable. I would make a suggestion for the kitchen in having a cloth or sponge to be able to wash dirty plates etc., although any used glasses and other utensils were cleaned each day, we like to clean up after using crockery etc. Maybe some tissues in the bathroom for those sniffing days.

Overall the stay and staff were great. They had a policy to reserve for lunch or dinner ahead of time and we arrived around 2pm and most places were closed at that time so they said we could have lunch there. One lady who was serving us was a bit rude since we didn’t make a reservation which was ridiculous because there was no one else eating at the time. Otherwise, the rest of the staff were great and very personable.
