One of one beach front property with a nice dipping pool to cool off after soaking in the sun steps away on the beach. The property is exactly as described and Richard was an outstanding host - easily accessible with support on site.

Richard was an outstanding host and truly made our stay in Santa Teresa special. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and helpful with anything we needed. The location was perfect—just steps from the beach—making it easy to settle into the relaxed rhythm of the area.The sunsets are unforgettable and the beach is amazing and never crowded. Another unforgettable part of the stay was the wildlife—we saw both white-faced monkeys and howler monkeys moving through the canopy surrounding the property, which was such a cool and authentic Costa Rica experience.Having Rocamar right next door was also a huge plus. It was incredibly convenient for grabbing food or drinks, yet the property itself remained quiet and peaceful, which gave us the best of both worlds.The property itself was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a laid-back beach stay. Richard was always nearby if we needed anything but gave us plenty of space to enjoy our time.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Richard to anyone visiting Santa Teresa. Pura vida!

Amazing stay. The location is perfect - we loved early morning & sunset beach walks. We soaked in the pool and used the kitchen to cook our freshly caught fish. This is the cleanest, best-kept unit we have ever stayed in. Rocamar right next door is a bonus too!

This was one of the most magical weeks of our life! The location of Richard's villa could hardly be any more perfect: you literally wake up to the sight and sound of the sea, open the patio window wide, walk out onto the terrace, then down onto the sand, past your hammock and loungers, under the string lights, past a few trees (sometimes with howler monkeys in their branches), and you're on the beach! It's a beautiful beach too, popular but not overcrowded, and the wonderful Rocamar restaurant is right next door. We ate there four times, and on the last couple of evenings we took a blanket out in front of the house to drink cocktails and watch the sunset with a group of other awestruck tourists. As for the interior of the house, while it's maybe missing a few common conveniences (washer, dryer, microwave), as long as you know this in advance, you won't miss any of those amenities. You have to warm to a host who provides a cocktail shaker and martini glasses, but not a microwave! And the decor is simple but very classy. Just don't do what we did - program your GPS to take you on the shortest route from the airport to Santa Teresa - because we ended up driving through four rivers, and past a bull in the middle of the road! If in doubt, ask Richard: he knows, and will help you out. Highly, highly recommended!

Great place with great hosts. This villa was the perfect size with two bedrooms, two full baths and a well equipped kitchen (despite being a 30 second stroll to a very good beachfront restaurant). And the location? Right on the beach. We couldn’t have asked for more.

My family of four stayed in Casa Juana for two weeks in July and, simply put, it was perfect! The location, home, management, etc. were all fantastic and we couldn’t have asked for more. Richard, the owner is super responsive and even arranged ATVs to be waiting for us upon arrival. This well-equipped home is situated beachfront on the northern end of the beach and feels like a perfect private peaceful retreat. We loved the Rocamar restaurant next door for the tasty food and drinks, convenience, friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere (do not worry, it is quiet, opens late and closes early). The beautiful reef out front is a great amenity, we enjoyed exploring it and even bathing in the bigger tide pools at low tide. Mornings in the lounge chairs watching the waves while sipping coffee will have us dreaming of going back for a long time.

Beach front paradise

Absolutely loved the accommodations & private beachfront location! Bonus was a thriving restaurant next door to enjoy the local Costa Rican fare & lively music & fun atmosphere. Richard was so helpful & checked on us throughout our stay responding promptly to any concern. Will be top of our list if & when we return to this beautiful country!

Fantastic spot. Idyllic.

Highly recommend. The house is simple and perfect for the spot. Cool, air conditioned ensuite bedrooms. Open Kitchen and den. Perfect. Hammock in the shade of the trees or walk out to one of the most amazing beaches you'll find anywhere. This is a gem.

Amazing Stay

Had a great trip at Richard's Property. His property is a beautiful spot. Right on the beach with everything you need close by. Its extremely clean. I enjoyed surfing every morning down the beach and my family enjoyed the beach, playing in the waves, and taking naps in the hammocks under the trees.

The pictures don’t do it justice!

What an exceptional home. All that you need and more beautiful in person! The pool is perfect for a refreshing dip- and as a nice alternative to the ocean which is only steps away. At night you hear monkeys in the trees above- while the nearly silent air conditioners keep you cool and comfortable. Richard arranged for cab service to the airport, helped coordinate the delivery of ATVs and was extraordinarily responsive to any request. (But there wasn’t anything lacking!). Hands down I would stay here again. It’s a little far from the heart of Santa Theresa, but with an atv it’s an easy commute. Perfect waves for surfing are right outside the door- i can’t wait to return!
