I don’t even know where to begin. We were in town for a wedding and had we had an alternative in the small town to stay, we would’ve left immediately. The entire front exterior of the house was green with algae. The grass surrounding the house appeared to have not been cut in at least a month and was obviously overgrown. The main reason we picked this location is because it had a hot tub and was close proximity to the wedding. To our surprise when we walked in, we first noticed that all the countertops were still dirty and the cabinets had food filth all over the fronts. The walls were very grimy and cobweb filled, air returns covered in dirt and air filters full, visible grime all over light-switch plates, base boards and furniture. Dust and dirt was hanging off the main bedroom ceiling fan so we could not use it. It appeared that nobody had been in this house for several months. The oven had a message on it saying that it was wired incorrectly and would not work so we weren’t even able to cook food. There were several missing light fixtures in the living room area with exposed wires hanging from the ceiling. This was our first time using VRBO and it will be our last. There were 2 cameras pointed directly at the hot tub, which I covered after being in the hot tub. I refused to let my wife be filmed. I received a message from the host not to cover the camera which means they were watching us before I covered them. The host said the housekeeper would be notified of complaints.
