This mountain retreat cottage is located at Mandala Springs - Wellness Retreat Center and is a newly developed, charming, fully furnished 400 square foot accommodation that provides almost all of the modern comforts of city life in a rural, forested setting. Equipped with a queen bed, an en suite bathroom, kitchenette, mini fridge, dining table, stovetop, and cooking necessities, this cottage is supplied with all of the must-haves for a comfortable and unforgettable stay.

The Space:

High in the Mayacamas Mountains, each of our brand new cottages are nestled within Mandala Springs' beautiful 112-acre property. Mandala Springs is a private wellness retreat center two and a half hours from San Francisco - a place where nature and spirit meet and create a natural healing environment for all. Guests are encouraged to explore Kelsey Creek, hike our extensive trail system, cool off and enjoy water activities on Kelsey Pond, lounge by the pool, or take a cruiser bike on a ride to the mini-golf course. There are countless on-site activities to enjoy, and if you are in the mood to explore the area, Napa Valley, Calistoga, Clear Lake, and Boggs Mountain State Forest are all just a short drive away.

Guest access:

Guests will have access to all 112 acres of land, including but not limited to our outdoor pool, hiking trails, mini-golf course, lawn games, board games, Kelsey Creek, community fire pit, garden, orchard, boating, paddle boarding, water activities on Kelsey Pond, foot-powered go-carts, and bicycles.

Other things to note:

There are multiple accommodations on site. Each accommodation is private, but the property is shared by all guests. We ask that guests refrain from cooking or consuming meat while on site, Mandala Springs is a drug and alcohol-free facility.

Misrepresented property. Shame on Vrbo.

I booked this property about a week and a half in advance as I was looking for a quiet private cabin to rest in with my spouse. The description online said that it was a “wellness retreat” but made it sound like all of the interactive activities were optional. After strange communication with the property owner (he did not respond to my message via vrbo app, so I had to look up the property’s website and literally verify the legitimacy of my reservation, and was extremely short and delayed on responses with no additional check in information until 2 hours AFTER my scheduled check in time, he emailed me saying my keys were in my cabin) I decided to dive a little deeper into researching this property before going to it. The reviews I found were terrifying and horrible, they were on Expedia (Vrbo’s parent) but somehow hadn’t been transferred to this platform. The reviews had accounts of guest feeing literally unsafe and uncomfortable during their stay because of it intrusive staff. I decided I didn’t feel safe going so I tried to cancel my reservation online with no hep whatsoever from Vrbo and couldn’t. So I had to eat the charge, to protect my own safety. Please look up this place “Mandala Springs” on other platforms and read the reviews before booking on here. It has been completely misrepresented. They also added on the “no alcohol” clause onto the description after I booked. Shady, super shady.
