I was there for a funeral. However, the hotel is very outdated. It changed hands about four years ago. The chain lock on the door was broken and in order to get back in your room, the maintenance man will shove the door real hard for the chain lock to come off and say it was'nt installed properly. The chain lock was still malfunctioning because the screws on the latch was very unsecure and the latch was detached away from the wall. The area where you get the ice is very nasty and in a unsanitary section. I went to iron my white shirts and the soot and filth on the iron is so dirty, all I could do was shake my head. I requested some towels and I was waiting to receive them and stood outside my dr. Maint. literally pushed the lady to take the towels in my room. (when I'm standing in front of her to get the towels. He wanted the lady to personally go in the rm. Why? I have no idea. However, I went in with her. The tactics are silly and not professional at all. I was there for a funeral but the 2 nights were terrible. I heard someone banging on my dr the 2nd nite I was there. It was a drunk at the wrong door but, very alarming. The lobby is horrible. It's dark, unkept and not in a good condition. I left very early for the airpt and had to continue ringing the doorbell because the gentleman working the desk was in the back sleep. Even though, it's in a small town in Chipley, Florida, as a hotel and doing business with the American public, do not spend your money there.
