The Space:

Gem Near the Dam by Tiny Away, at Chintin Botanicals, is nestled in the quiet countryside of Chintin, just an hour from the vibrant city of Melbourne. Perched next to a picturesque dam and surrounded by tall trees and native woodlands, this rustic retreat overlooks a tranquil, spring-fed dam.



Nearby attractions include Lerderderg State Park, Woodlands Historic Park, Forest Glade Gardens, and Hanging Rock Winery—perfect for day trips and local adventures.



A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.



IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home,"Gem On the Hill," available with 24 hours' notice, ensuring you have even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the tiny home, paddocks 4 and 5, and the surrounding forest.



Advisory:



- There is a short 5-minute walk and approximately 300m from the parking area to the tiny house, a trolley is provided on arrival to help transport your belongings with ease. If you arrive at night, lights will guide you across the paddock.

- Our wood-fired baths are back! Guests who book the bath will enjoy a complimentary upgrade, including lavender essential oil and fresh flowers for a more relaxing soak. Soft dressing gowns are also provided.



Pre-orders available at least 24 hrs in advance:



- Outdoor Wood-fired bath available cost $80 including firewood and water

- Fire pit including wood, kindling and matches cost $25 per load

- 1L Drinking Water is provided on arrival. Additional water cost $5 per litre

- Our breakfast pack is $40 (enough for 2 people) and includes local eggs and bacon, muffins, honey, and locally roasted coffee.

- Our dinner pack is $120 (enough for 2 people) and includes four lamb koftas, salad, cheese, olives, flatbread, bushfood relish, a sweet treat, and a bottle of local wine.

Escape to Gem Near the Dam by Tiny Away, nestled in the hidden gem of Chintin—just an hour from Melbourne, yet a world away. Tucked within the scenic Macedon Ranges, Chintin offers vast woodlands, rolling hills, and breathtaking outlooks.



This cozy retreat is close to many local highlights, such as Mount Macedon Walks, Trentham Falls, Hanging Rock, Riddells Creek Farmers Market, and the Lancefield Brewery. For panoramic views of the area, don’t miss a stop at Camels Hump—especially for a unique vantage point over Hanging Rock.

Other Things to Note:

- No smoking on the property

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- No children allowed due to agricultural work

- No pets are allowed on the property

- Please be advised that we have livestock on our property

- No fires other than in pre-booked outdoor bath or fire pit

- Outdoor fire pit and bath available (at extra cost), except during CFA Fire Danger Season

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge



Important note:



- Our tiny homes are fully off-grid, so please bring portable power banks and conserve energy to avoid running out of electricity. Charge your devices in advance, especially on low-light days.

- For stays of more than 2 nights, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
