1st time at a VRBO

We were in need of a place to stay that had a little more room than a hotel room. Viewing the pictures online I thought this would be a great place. Small apartment but had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Perfect for what we needed. Unfortunately the listing did not say it was on the 2nd floor. I am disabled and my mother in law is 80. Not the best situation. When we got upstairs it was 80 degrees in the apartment. There were no ceiling fans or air-conditioning. When I reached out to the owner she said the air conditioner went out the day before and they were supposed to install a new one but the HVAC guy got stuck in traffic. The building is as 4 unit that is being renovated. We took a picture of where the unit should have been and there was never one there to begin with. My family has been in the HVAC business for 30 years so I know what it is supposed to look like. When I reached out the owner said that she would give me a $40 credit. Still waiting for that. Also the neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired. Next door looks like a junkyard and parties all night long. When you look out the window there are boarded up houses. The HVAC guys showed up at 7am, woke us up and said they would be there for about 6 hours and it would be loud so we should leave until they were done. Are you kidding me!? I would not recommend this place if you are older or have children. I know I didn't feel safe there.
