The neighborhood was great, central location to the rail station and highway. Homewood has a lot shops, places to eat and major stores. This is an older home and has that charm with antique doorknobs and the mail slot that opens right into the living room. We saw birds and wild rabbits in the backyard early morning. There is a window wall unit for air in the living room and a floor unit in the main bedroom, the second bedroom does NOT have air access, just a ceiling fan. The kitchen and laundry area has no air, just a light combo fan in the kitchen - it was warm. I do agree with prior reviews that a table with traditional lower chairs would be better, 2 barstool chairs for 4 people does not work. Lawn people come early on Fridays, and while quick it's certain notable. Internet access and TVs worked well for everyone. Bathroom needs some attention, new sink and toilet fixtures, but the shower has a mat on the ground (for me that's an ick) there are also water stains in the grout, and something I would expect at my grandparents home, not so much in a rental - not a deal breaker. The trim and walls need some attention, when you're in a small bathroom it's so hard to not pick up the flaws that aren't shown in photos. We did have a small issue with drain smells, the property manager came over within 20 minutes, this was awesome and totally not needed. We enjoyed our stay, and Rob was very polite and helpful, we were even able to check in early.
