The room was very clean and well appointed. The Alishan oolong tea was a nice surprise. So was the great soaking tub. The hotel is very conveniently located in the vibrant downtown. Really enjoyable.

Had a really good short stay at Kings Hotel Chiayi. It is located a short 5 mins walk from the train station which is helpful if you were taking the morning Alishan Railway or connecting to any of the other cities. About a 10 min walk from the night market which had plenty of food options. Breakfast was included, nice clean restaurant, plenty of food choices incl. Western. Overall highly recommend if you are passing through Chiayi and looking for a comfortable stay before or after your Alishan trip.
