A winemaker practicing organic farming, Marguerite-Marie welcomes you to a historic 18th-century farm outbuilding, completely renovated into a beautiful characterful home, nestled on a former vineyard which she has lovingly revived (Domaine du Mérac / tastings and sales available by appointment). Located in the heart of a small residential hamlet nestled on the edge of fields and vineyards, in the peri-urban Mâconnais countryside, in a bucolic setting of rolling hills and vineyards, it is just a stone's throw from the charming, typical market town of Charnay-les-Mâcon, a place of many facets, both urban and rural (the ideal compromise between town and country), boasting its own AOC/AOP ("Mâcon Charnay-les-Mâcon"), a rich heritage (10th-century Romanesque church, numerous castles, 19th-century icehouse, restored old oil mill, etc.) as well as all modern amenities. The gîte offers excellent comfort and is exceptionally spacious. Spacious rooms. Elegant contemporary country style blending tradition and modernity. A peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.
