I did not stay at this hotel. My reservation was cancelled and compensation was not offered. My flight to Charleston was delayed and it took over 40 minutes to get the rental car. I began calling the hotel shortly after our arrival to Charleston and no one answered at any time. There was no answering system set up to leave a message. Once I got the rental car I went to the hotel as instructed by a representative on the customer service line. I was told that someone should be at the desk 24 hour. Upon arrival the office was closed. I called the emergency number and was told their system automatically shut down at midnight and there was nothing he could do. I tried getting more information from the worker but was hung up on. The hotel itself offered no assistance. The Hotels.com representative did try to locate other available rooms in the area but wasn't successful. I had to search and book another room at my own expense. This was a great inconvenience. After this experience I would not be comfortable recommending this hotel is anyone else.
I would like a refund or some type of compensation for this ordeal.
