I'm a regular user of IBIS hotels and as you can see from previous reviews i love the hotel chain. Charleroi is just ok, reception not friendly on arrival and the hotel is tired. Breakfast was ok though and i would have given a better rating, unfortunately i was in 303 and woke up in the morning to see a blood filled bed bug!!

The area looks and feels not safe. But the main problem is the staff was not helpful. We arrived the hotel around 11 pm we parked the car at car park and they asked 12.5 Euros for the car park extra but it was not written on the listing.

I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Rooms a little dated, and air conditioning wasn't working effectively, but a desk fan was left in the room to help. The service was very friendly, very helpful and accommodating for the purpose of my trip. The hotel was located very conveniently for the railway station. I would stay here again.

Had to change rooms as things not working..but exchange was straightforward Staff 150% even managed to sort our suitcase with a jammed lock!!!! Hotel needs a little updating as a little tired but would highly recommend for a short stay

Budget hotel ~ you get what you pay for.

Superb location opposite main train & bus terminals. Receptionist was very welcoming & helpful. Hotel is old & tired, but worth the budget price. Air con not working ~ weather was fairly hot (but not extreme) which made for a very uncomfortable night. Heard other guests with same problem/complaint.

A bad Ibis, seems more basic even than a normal Ibis if that's possible. The whole building was like an oven, none existent air conditioning. Upside, a comfortable bed to lie on, you won't be in it because of the heat.

Disgusting hotel with false advertising

Rooms were advertised with air conditioning, it did not work so they changed us to 2 new rooms, again air con did not work so they had several fans in the room which were useless , also one room had a toilet that did not flush - it is false advertising to suggest air conditioning when it does not work proven by the fact that all rooms had several small fans, one we switched on smelt like it was burning and very dangerous, the other was so noisy it could not be used - this hotel should be reported for false advertising

Very dirty, cheap, not even a hand towel, no water boiler, plastic glasses, very noisy, can not recommend this place, even for half the price it would be too expensive. Good was free parking

Hotel was OK but area not so good. Noisy city, very run down and no places of interest at at within walking distance. Very few places to eat in the evening. Travelling to and from our hotel to our destination each day was both complicated and difficult by car, duecto proliferation of 6-lane motorways everywhere and difficult to access urban roads in and out of the city. Would not consider visiting ever again.
