The property has a lot of potential. One of the reasons I picked this place was because of the name and the SW style of the buildings. Property is not kept up. Rooms need updating. Smoke Alarm in room not working. Electrical/Plumbing need updating. The pros the restaurant was good and breakfast area was ok. Our server was nice and pleasant to talk too. The staff seemed nice and pleasant.

I would probably give this place 3.5 stars. The best thing it has going for it is it’s restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner were very good here. The rooms are quite outdated and could use some deep cleaning. For example the electric heaters had quite a bit of dust in them. The courtyards are beautiful however, and the location in town is convenient.

Property is old, which wouldn't be a problem but it wasn't clean. We felt unsafe due to very strange comings and goings of staff into nearby rooms dressed inappropriately. The decking outside our room was loose and broken and a safety hazard. Overall it doesn't feel like a safe or clean property.

The area was aliile out of the way the staff was okay but the room the first night was not what was expected the sofa sleeper was a loveseat that the springs were broken and should not be in the room we moved to a didn't room but than security came to check the room like we broke it very disturbing

Love it here. Fav spot in Taos

Excellent spot. Clean, nice etc. Just some minor issues like bathtub not working right and electricity went off for awhile but overall very very cool place. Stayed twice now and will stay again. Really excellent view of the sunset.

Destiny and Melissa (I think that was her name) at the front desk were so nice and helpful. Mr.Espinosa in Maintenance came quick to fix the TV. Clean and quiet. We had a great spacious room with 2 beds. Outside seats and table for outdoor eating. Close to everything. Great 4 days in Taos.

Photos Are Misleading

The person who photographed this place did an amazing job of making it look waaay better than it looks in person. The "junior suite" room was also not a true suite, though it was photographed to appear as a true suite. A living area with a murphy bed was NOT what I expected for the price and it was not what was depicted in the photo spread for the room that I booked. The photo spread and the price had me thinking we were getting two bedrooms and two actual beds. There was no indication in said photos that a murphy bed was bed #2. Also, when we opened the murphy bed, a few black ants crawled out from behind the cabinet and had me worried and creeped out for the rest of the night that they would crawl on me. Additionally, every item in the room was dinged, worn, scratched, chipped etc. I will say that the staff went out of their way to welcome us and I appreciated their professionalism and friendliness!
