Hillside Hideaway - your base for the region

Welcome to Hillside Hideaway — a cosy, clean 2BR guesthouse set among trees in a quiet rural pocket. Tucked behind our family home with its own entry, it’s private, peaceful and perfectly placed as a base for exploring the region. Comfortable, uncluttered and surrounded by nature, it’s an easy place to relax and recharge.

Inside, the guesthouse is thoughtfully set up with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The living area is warm, inviting and uncluttered — a great spot to unwind with a book, cup of tea or easy dinner after a busy day. The décor is simple and homely, with a focus on comfort, cleanliness and practicality. The kitchenette includes a kettle, toaster, microwave, single hotplate, air fryer oven and fridge/ freezer. The dining space is perfectly sized for relaxed breakfasts before heading out to explore.

There are two bedrooms, making the hideaway ideal for couples, friends, small families or solo travellers who prefer having a bit more space. The main bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a double bed. The bedding is comfortable and cosy, with fresh linens provided for every stay. The bathroom is clean and bright, with a hot shower and essentials available so you can pack light and settle in easily.

Our property is accessed via a fairly steep driveway at the start. The first 20 meters from the road are not suitable for a very low-clearance car. 4WD is NOT required.

Step outside the guesthouse and you’ll find yourself surrounded by trees and birdsong. While the guesthouse doesn’t offer sweeping views, it’s embraced by greenery and has a lovely sense of peace — a little pocket of nature to return to after your adventures.

The property sits in a quiet rural area, offering a refreshing break from the busier parts of the hinterland, yet still close enough to drive to towns, walking tracks, local shops and all the great attractions the region has to offer.

Whether you’re here to explore the hinterland, visit local markets, head out on outdoor adventures, or simply enjoy a quieter pace for a few days, Hillside Hideaway offers the perfect place to land. It’s not a resort-style retreat — it’s a warm, welcoming, down-to-earth base that feels comfortable the moment you walk in.
