The hotel is just limping along. The staff were pleasant. The Hotel has been very grand in its day but is tired and run down now. Our room was spacious and clean, but the furniture & bathroom very dated and marked etc. we stayed 4 nights dinner & breakfast. The food was at best average and expensive for what was put down in front of us. The setting is beautiful and there are nice walks

Clean comfortable spacious double room in the main building. The £35 allowance on the dinner bed & breakfast rate doesn't buy you a basic 3 course meal. Had to pay an extra supplement for a cooked omelette gor breakfast. Very helpful polite staff.

Paid extra for largest room size only to find lift not working and unable to climb stairs to room. No offer of assistance with luggage to even attempt to get to the room. Requested room change on lower floor which was granted but no refund was given on smaller room. No prior warning offered about the lift when checking in

The staff in all areas were friendly and courteous. The rooms were large and spotless. Nice bathroom. Rooms were quiet at night. Breakfast, bar and restaurant very good. Ample parking (we were on 6 motorcycles). Ideal base for the area, we would come again. Highly recommended.

Easy parking in beautiful surroundings. The grounds are very secenic. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was warm and fresh. We stayed in a family suite, was modern and well equipt. Bed were a tad uncomfortable though.
