A beautiful place to stay. Have stayed here before 6 yrs ago and both times we have been very happy - rooms are of a higher standard in terms of size and decor with a generous & well appointed bathroom. Highly recommend.

Lovely place but our room could have done with a refurb as some of the woodwork around the bathroom door had started to rot. The spa was amazing so we would stay again just ask for a different room.

A lovely hotel in a great setting, but a little rough around the edges in the rooms. And the long wait at breakfast, and the order when eventually it arrived was wrong and lukewarm. Not great. Some friendly staff on check in, and the concierge was great. But overall, not at the level you’d expect for the star rating and the price.

Whilst the exterior and the grounds were lovely, the rooms show the past glory of the hotel. The rooms are in need of modernisation. Net curtains would be beneficial for more privacy. Check-in was speedy with a friendly receptionist, as well as check-out. Breakfast was nice but could do with more variety, perhaps more youghurts and other cold cuts and breads. The host at breakfast was very professional.

My only complaint would be that the evening dining menu was pretty limited. But the restaurant staff were attentive and excellent. A couple of simple items added to the menu wouldn't go amiss alongside the fine dining.

I did not eat either breakfast or any other meals at the hotel. However, my check in was polite and professional. My room was clean and tidy. But the paint work was very chipped and in need of redecoration. The mini fridge was switched on but did not keep anything cold. However the spa was excellent. All the facilities, swimming pool, gym and other facilities were great. I had a deluxe massage in the spa which was absolutely excellent. I would certainly recommend considering the spa treatments.

The grounds had beautiful specimen trees and a nice outdoor spa pool and terrace area. The living room was tastefully decorated and cozy for sitting and reading. Good proximity to nearby parks and easy walk to downtown.

Hotel is in a beautiful area of Bath,quiet and easy accessible,the Hotel is lovely but does show little signs of wear and tear in the rooms otherwise all good.Would definitely stay here agsin

To be honest I am not a fan of spa facilities but my wife loves them and she found the spa facilities here very mediocre. For me the hotel whilst in a beautiful setting was very expensive and did not live up to the price. We had a full cooked breakfast which was good but any alternative, even things that were clearly less expensive to provide were charged extra as was items provided in the room such as the use of the coffee machine and the bottled water! We ate one meal in the restaurant and frankly it was faux fine dining and again the price was high. Bath is a tourist city yet the hotel made little effort to facilitate sight seeing such as a shuttle bus to town (a 20/25 minute walk) Our stay wasn’t bad we had no problems but for the price not a great experience
